Studies show that recidivism is significantly reduced when there is family or community support. Release without a clear direction on rehabilitation is necessary for a positive outcome.
Many incarcerated women are also mothers. Their incarceration creates a ripple effect that extends far beyond the individual, disrupting families, destabilizing communities, and leaving children vulnerable to cycles of trauma and poverty.
The Willow Haven Foundation recognizes that successful reentry must address not only the needs of the woman but also the well-being of her family. By providing stable housing, employment assistance, and trauma-informed support, we help mothers rebuild their lives and reconnect with their children—breaking generational patterns and strengthening the community as a whole.
We believe in the power of community. Offering services such as free or discounted housing, job training and counseling provides the support needed to turn lives around and become productive citizens.
Without focused interventions, studies suggest that up to 70% of children with incarcerated mothers are likely to become trapped in an intergenerational cycle of incarceration.

The Office Manager provides marketing, financial and human resources support, assisting with basic bookkeeping, budgeting, and the processing of vendor invoices, while also maintaining employee and volunteer records.
Crucially, this role will manage communications and information flow, overseeing phone and email systems, organizing both physical and digital files, and supporting the executive team with scheduling and administrative tasks to keep the Foundation running effectively.
