The Willow Haven Foundation Inc. is a Florida non-profit organization aimed at helping women exiting prison with housing, clothing, job training, counseling, etc. Although we are based in Jacksonville, our goal is to assist throughout the state of Florida. We are applying for 501(c)3 status.

A significant percentage of incarcerated women are mothers, with approximately half of those in prisons and 80% in jails being mothers.

Recidivism/Reoffending
Without focused interventions, studies suggest that up to 70% of children with incarcerated mothers are likely to become trapped in an intergenerational cycle of incarceration.

Studies show that recidivism is significantly reduced when there is family or community support. Release without a clear direction on rehabilitation is necessary for a positive outcome.

We believe in the power of community. Offering free services such as free or discounted housing, job training, counseling, etc. provides the support needed to turn lives around and become productive citizens.

Your donation will help us set up our non-profit and obtain our 501(c)3 status with the State of Florida. The cost of this process is $5000. Everything received over that amount will go directly towards our programs such as job training, housing, food, clothing and counseling.
